Round two the club trophy & one of the greatest one day races of the season, The Tour of Flanders took place on Sunday 6th April. It was a difficult pick especially if you wanted to get both Mathieu van der Poel & Tadej Pogačar in your team, which made it impossible to also select Mads Pedersen. Many people picked the top two, allowing for one more mid priced rider.

One person who took the risk of dropping one of these favourites was Paul Mawhinney, it was bold move to drop Pogačar & pick Pedersen instead. This move allowed for a fourth mid price rider, an inspired pick of Iván García Cortina at 12 points. Gave Paul the win scoring 1815 points (coming in 27th place in the global rankings) and 150 points ahead of Russ in second place and Lee Aston in third.

Overall no change for the top 3, Ian Smith remains about 4k points over the leaders having missed a race earlier in the season.

In the club trophy league Paul M and Lee A have opened up a 700+ point gap on Russ in third place. Round 3 of the club trophy continues next Sunday with Paris Roubaix.
