Every year the Club Chair, Jim Varnish, presents his award for RIDER OF THE YEAR. His award goes to whomever he feels has achieved the most in their cycling year. Not necessarily the faster or strongest rider, or the individual with the most race wins, but the rider who has developed or given the most to the club in the year.

For 2020 there was no individual Rider of the Year. Instead the award was presented to the entire club in recognition of how members supported each other and the local community during Covid 19.
Club members raised an amazing £11,500 in a week for Primrose Hospice with a 26 hours virtual challenge, supporting bereaved families and hospice staff. Members also purchased and delivered tablet devices to a local hospital so isolated patients could stay in touch with loved ones.
Best club in the World!

Jackie advanced significantly during 2014. From riding alone she developed into a confident group rider, leading the B group and joining A rides. She also completed Ride London with a strong performance in shortened event conditions.
Andy completed John O Groats to Lands End in 7 days at an average of 130 miles per day. He also delivered a strong ride in the inaugural Ride London event, contributing significantly to the V-Sprint train in the closing miles.
