DESCRIPTION:102km cycling event starting from Bushley. Controls at Chaddesley Corbett\, plus 2 information controls. \nNew for 2020. A pretty early Spring ride. An eclectic mix of gentle rolling countryside\, along lanes\, tow-paths\, cycle routes through urban areas and a few A/B roads. Fine views throughout the ride. \nLeaving Bushley\, the ride heads north mainly on quiet lanes and old drover routes through rural Worcestershire. The turnaround is at Rowberrys Garden Centre Café. You return and cut through most urban stretches on cycle routes\, a section of canal-side path\, traffic-free paths. There’s optional places to pitstop on the return at the country park in Worcester. The latter stages also pass through Croome Park.

DESCRIPTION:The Beacon RCC February audaxes are an institution on the Audax UK calendar\, attracting 260 entries each year. The routes use quiet country roads through rural Worcestershire to Evesham and Upton. A gritted alternative is also available if icy. \nOur two February events\, the Sunrise Express and the Snowdrop Express\, are both 123km in length and they follow the same route\, but travelling in opposite directions. The start times are staggered to give riders a choice and to ease congestion at the HQ.

We will be offering generous sandwiches along with homemade cakes; including vegan and other dietary options (including low GI to keep you going if you have a long cycle home). \nWe hope to make the café a regular offering to help support our community run pub.
