DESCRIPTION:The original madhare sportive\, The Mad March Hare returns for a 15th edition in 2023! \nThe 100km/66mile route meanders through quiet rolling country lanes with a few climbs to test those spring legs. \nNew Venue \nWe are very happy to have found a new home for the Mad March Hare in 2023 at the Transport Museum Wythall – a local attraction and charity that brings the history of transport to life for families and enthusiasts to enjoy. \nThe venue has plenty of space for us to add our Madhare flair; as well as all the seating and toilets we could wish for! The museum will be closed to the public during the event (so we have the place to ourselves) but that doesn’t mean there won’t be some classic buses and vehicles on show and even a miniature railway!  \nCar Parking \nThere will be exclusive off-site car parking available no more than 500m away from the venue. Tickets for parking are available through the entry form. \nNew Pricing Structure \nThe base price includes: \nWell signposted 100km route with new route sections\, hill marshals (with Jelly Babies!) and downloadable GPS route \nRace number with timings chip \nRegistration pack pick-up party (Gorilla Coffee Cafes) \nHot drinks and bananas at the start line \nGreat food on route including lunch\, snacks\, energy gels and water \nMechanical support provided by Gorilla Cycling Cafe \nMedical support provided by Transmed \nBroom wagon @ avg 12mph \n​Twenty6 Events – the new owners of Madhare – are committed to creating sustainable events and reducing waste. DESCRIPTION:A warm welcome from Women on Wheels (WoW)\, a Worcestershire based all-female cycling club. \nWe hope you can join us for a challenge and a great day out on your bike on the WOW Sportive\, the first all-female sportive to be held in glorious Worcestershire. So\, we’ve been studying the maps and have three beautiful safe routes to choose from\, all starting from Norton Parish Hall\, four miles south east of Worcester – plonk in the middle of lovely lanes. \nIf this is your first time\, or you are a sportive regular\, we have something to suit you. There are three distances on offer \nWadborough Wanderer – 16 miles (26 km) of local country lanes that surround the Sportive HQ. This is the perfect ride for anyone thinking of trying a sportive for the first time. \nOverbury Outing – 32 miles (51 km) of riding which take you little further afield\, with some hills and fabulous views as a reward. Great for those wanting a little more of a challenge. \nWorcestershire Weaver – 66 miles (106 km) in which to explore the glorious Worcestershire countryside. Undulating. This is suited to the more experienced rider. \nThe two longer routes will have a feed station and the shorter route has Croome Court café at half way. We hope to see you there!

SUMMARY:Tommy Godwin Challenge 2021 Sportive
DESCRIPTION:The Tommy Godwin Challenge sportive was set up in 2013 to honour the memory of 1948 Olympic cycling medallist Tommy Godwin.  The event is run entirely by volunteers  and profits go to fund the West Midlands Marie Curie Hospice in Solihull where Tommy spent his last few days. So far we have raised over £90\,000. \nTommy enjoyed cycling in the Warwickshire lanes and in later years was always keen to encourage other cyclists\, either established stars or total newcomers. With this event we aim to replicate Tommy’s experience of enjoying the countryside on our doorstep and his vision of encouraging young riders and other starting out on their cycling journeys. \nThere are three routes\, 30\, 73 and 100km.  There is chip timing and refreshment stops for the 70km and 100km while the 30km ride is for families and the less experienced cyclists. The routes are all well signed and there are GPX files and route instructions that you can download. \nAs always there will be medals for all finishers\, mechanical support\, first aid and we will be offering post ride refreshments\, photos and sports therapy all free.

SUMMARY:Droitwich Cycling Sunday Sportive
DESCRIPTION:This event is in its second year with the aim of raising funds for Help for Heroes. The event will be predominantly on quiet country lanes\, the short route 48km or 30miles is on reasonably flat terrain with a couple of gentle hills\, whilst the medium distance 80km or 50miles is a little more challenging but not too difficult. The longest route 104km or 65miles encompasses a couple of additional climbs but nothing epic. Online entries will be via British Cycling cost £21.50 plus £1.00 admin with entries on the day £26.50\, subject to space the event will be capped at 250 entrants. There will be food stops and a sweeper in attendance. The route will be signed and GPX files will be added to the event in due course.

DESCRIPTION:Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games\, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 starts from 05:45 in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park\, then follows a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route made famous by the world’s best cyclists at the London 2012 Olympics\, it’s a truly spectacular event for all involved. The Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 finishes on The Mall in central London\, shortly before 150 professional cyclists race in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey Classic on a similar route.
